Tribal Twig

$75.00

Away in a forest you can hear chanting, drums, and soft whispers. A flickering light catches your eye. Smells of sage float, covering the ground like fog. Here before you is a ceremony. Something long in history and deep in culture. Looking closer you see shadow-like figures surrounding a fire. These were not human in shape; they had a figure more like large half-human half-rabbit people. You hear the slow deep sounds of drumming made by their pawed back feet. It gets louder and faster as the fire grows in color-changing flames. Upon reaching the tip of the tent-like space, you see smoke sneaking out and spiraling in some kind of ancient language. They begin to chant whatever this smoke is spelling out. Feeling dizzy, you take a deep breath. Your eyes go solid black and your mind sits as an observer during whatever ritual is going on. You can’t move, you can’t see, all you can do is hear, and wait. Once your eyes change back you are alone. No tent, no music, no fire, or strange rabbit-like creatures, just you, sitting in a patch of moss under a star-filled night sky. You look down in your lap and see that you're holding something. As you bring it up to see it clearly, your eyes focus and you see a wand. The resemblance of a twig. Wrapped at the base with some kind of red material, a breath taking turquoise at the center and the tip, a strong wood. This is the Tribal Twig wand.

No one knows what magic it holds, for it is a newly-born wand. You are the first to hold it, the powers are unknown…till now. What do you discover with this powerful piece?

All sculptures are made with genuine love and passion.

Some are made with lots of thought and sketches. Others I just go with the flow and allow myself to just zone into the material and see what comes out. I use professional materials to sculpt each one. They can take any where from one hour to four or more for really detailed ones. Once created I then bake them. Then its time for Painting! This too can take several hours and layers. I use a base coat and a top coat at the end to ensure it stays fresh and lovely. Once it is ready to depart my hand and fall sweetly into yours I pack it up. I will include tissue paper and ribbon. I also with most wands add a certificate for you to enjoy.

I have made them for all kinds of reasons. I love that my clients can come to me for something special that comes from their heart. It could be for a birthday, wedding, baby shower, parting gift, or almost anything you can imagine. These pieces and all of my art is meant to be a journey of expression and delightful team work.
